Dr. Scott Franklin currently serves as a Math and Computer Science professor at Wayland Baptist University. He’s been at Wayland for 20 years and for the last 10 years, he has served in administration having just recently stepped down as Dean of the School of Math and Sciences to focus on teaching. He graduated from Wayland in 1998 with a degree in Religion and Math and in received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech in Mathematics. At First Baptist Church Plainview, Dr. Franklin is a deacon, choir member, and teaches sixth-grade Sunday School with his wife Lori.  Scott and Lori have 3 children that take up the remainder of their free time: Emily, a sophomore at Wayland; Timothy, a junior at PHS; and Zachary, a freshman also at PHS. Outside of work and family, he’s known as either the “Rubik’s Cube guy” or the “3D printing guy” to all his facebook friends.
